* A $10 PSN Card will be awarded to the team with the best overall record at the end of the regular season. If teams are tied for the best record, not including myself, then the tiebreaker format will he used to determine the winner of the Bonus $10 PSN Card
*when signing up for the league, put down your gamertag, team name, and the state of where you live. This will be used in placing people in same divisions based on location to help ease with possible lag.
League Format:
There will be 2, 15 team conferences(East and West) with 3, 5 team divisions within each conference.
Teams within same division will be each other 4x (2 home, 2 away) and then play rest of the teams in same conference twice(1 home, 1 away) for a total of 36 games.
After all regular season games have been completed, the Top 2 teams from each Division and two wildcard teams regardless of division will advance to the playoffs.
The first two rounds will be a Best of 5 series, using a 2-2-1 format, with the Higher seed getting the first 2 games at home and the 5th game if need be. The Championship round will be a Best of 7 Series, using a 2-3-2 format, where the Higher seed will get the first 2 and last 2 games at home. The higher seed will be decided based on the higher overall record from the regular season. If teams have identical records, then the following tiebreakers will be used to determine the higher seed:
1.Better Win/Loss Record versus the opponent from the Regular Season (if applicable)
2.Higher Run differential from the Regular Season (whoever has the highest positive runs vs. runs against)
3.Better Home Win/Loss record in the Regular Season
4.Better Away Win/Loss record in the Regular Season
**The same tiebreaker format will be used to determine final placing within each division. If after the 4 listed tiebreakers that teams are still tied, then a one game playoff will be played to determine higher rank.
I myself will be participating in the league, so therefore, if I should make it to the Championship Series, then the person I am facing will automatically win the $20 PSN Card and the two teams that lost in the conference finals will play each other in a Best of 5 series to determine who wins the $10 PSN Card. Also, if I should have the best overall record at the end of the regular season, then the team who has the second best record will receive the $10 Bonus card.
RULES & REGULATIONS:
Both pitching and batting difficulties will be set to All-Star
Once a game has concluded, both teams needs to take a screen shot of the final and send it to me, TheAllFatherOdin, for record keeping.
**Remember, it is your responsibility to submit the game score and box score of your game. If you do not do so, then I will not have a record of your games played, so when the time period is up for the regular season and I do not have records of games, then no win or loss will be recorded.
The time frame with which all regular season games should completed is 3 weeks. After which, the playoffs will be begin. The playoffs should be completed within a 2 week time frame as well.
Which brings up the next rule. NO QUITTING! A baseball game is never over until its over. If you quit, a -5 runs will be added to your run differential which could hurt you later on in a tiebreaker.
There is no restrictions on player lineup or what stadiums you can use for your home games or what time and weather you choose.
The only thing I ask is to not cheese bunt or quick pitch. We are all here to fun, so there is no need to be a jackass. If it becomes a problem, then i will either deduct wins from you or remove tou from the league.
there is a couple of things I don't believe I addressed in the rules. the timer for the pause menu in the game if it expires once, reset it for the other person. if it expires for second time it is totally up to you what you do.
also, if you are in a game and you're up by more than 10 runs after the fifth inning the game will end as a mercy rule.
as far as lag issues are concerned if there happens to be like you have to notify the other person within the first 3 innings that you're having lag issues. you will then quit the game and replay it. if lag issues continue, then try playing that game another time. if after the third inning lag issues appear you cannot replay the game you must continue.remember this league is for fun that's why again I ask do not quit because that can hurt you. baseball is never over until it's over. also don't be jackasses and cheese bunt or quick pitch. this league is for fun, I know there's money on the line but I will not take too kindly if I get reports of people being douchebags
I am currently working on a website, but in the meantime, stats will be updated through the forums at least 2x a week.
If you have any further questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to contact me and ask.
